The Heart & Stroke/Richard Lewar Centre of Excellence (HSRLCE) is focused on the prevention and cure of atherosclerosis, heart failure and congenital heart disease, using cutting edge tools such as molecular genetics. From this research will evolve diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic innovations that can impact on the health of all Canadians. The Centre of Excellence aims to become an internationally pre-eminent institution in cardiovascular research, through innovations in science, collaboration of minds, and training and recruitment of the best and brightest leaders in research.
